An ocean of poorly indexed and under-exploited content

MAP.ma produces hundreds of dispatches daily in Arabic, French, English and Spanish — a massive editorial flow covering national, regional and international news. Yet despite this editorial wealth, the site suffered from poor indexing: out of over 200,000 historically published pages, only 48,000 were actually indexed by Google. An indexing rate below 25% that left colossal potential untapped.

The second major challenge was keyword cannibalization. Thousands of pages competed on the same queries — for example, multiple dispatches covering the same event from slightly different angles diluted the site's authority.
